The Clocktower
About
Welcome to Hill Valleyโs most iconic landmark! If you're visiting for the first time, you canโt miss the Hill Valley Courthouse Clock Tower, a must-see for history buffs and fans of local architecture alike. Originally dedicated in September 1885 during a grand town festival, the courthouse served as the heart of Hill County for over a century. While it functioned perfectly for 70 years, it became a world-renowned curiosity after it was struck by lightning at exactly 10:04 p.m. on November 12, 1955. The strike froze the hands of the clock forever, and today, it remains a powerful symbol of our town's resilience and "ticking clock" history.
